Question 1

What is MindSpeak AI?

Accepted Answer

MindSpeak AI is an open hardware and software technology organization building privacy-first personal AI companions, autonomous physical agents, and personal memory second brains. It designs open carrier boards, acoustic DSP arrays, and modular compute architectures so developers and users can run sovereign AI companions without cloud lock-in.

Question 2

How does MindSpeak AI protect user privacy with local LLMs?

Accepted Answer

MindSpeak AI devices process wake words, far-field acoustics, and language inference directly on-device or on user-owned edge hardware. Compatible with open-source models such as Llama 3, Mistral, and Gemma via llama.cpp and Ollama, personal memories and audio recordings are never stored on proprietary cloud servers or sold to advertisers.

Question 3

What is the MindSpeak DIY Dev Kit?

Accepted Answer

The MindSpeak DIY Dev Kit is an open hardware PCB carrier board powered by an Espressif ESP32-S3 and an XMOS XVF3800 audio DSP with a 4-microphone far-field acoustic array, stereo amplifier output, and a modular high-density compute module slot compatible with Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5 and Jetson modules.

Question 4

What physical companions does MindSpeak AI offer?
